ATTENTION!
Why do some Muslims get upset at depictions of their prophet Muhammad? Thing is, if a person's religion is so weak that it can't even hold up to criticism or scrutiny, whether in cartoon form or something else, then that religion must be false because if something is true it should be able to withstand criticism and even insult. The Muslims that make death threats over cartoons seem insecure and should question the validity of their religion if it is so fragile as to be threatened by some drawings.
Muslims have the right to be offended at these images I made of Muhammad, but don't try to convince me that they have the right to intimidate and make violence or death threats. Some say that images such as these are provoking or antagonizing or offensive, but that is no excuse to intimidate, physically assault or make threats of violence or death. That would essentially mean "I should punch, kick, torture, kill, etc. you because you hurt my feelings". It's absurd. It's also like saying "you had it coming". It's a mentality of blaming the victim. And these are depictions of a man who lived 1,400 years ago. Also, I think that provocation, antagonism and offense are sometimes necessary in order to remove a stigma, in this case, the stigma of drawing or depicting the Islamic prophet Muhammad. I support free speech and expression, and my depictions of Muhammad shown here on this blog are my way of protesting Islam and religion in general. If the idea of depicting the Islamic prophet Muhammad makes you angry, then so be it. But if you get angry to the point where you fantasize about hurting those who make such depictions (including myself), then perhaps you should seek some anger management therapy, because getting upset over images and cartoons is the least of the world's problems when people are starving and there are wars.
